So...I tried to host a last-minute sketchgroup meeting today at the Pumpkin Harvest Festival at the OC Great Park in Irvine, but kinda failed and it ended up just being my roommate and me. Oh well, at least I got some sketching done. x-posted at my own blog.

I made the very quick transition from drawing gestures to drawing caricatures, feeling overwhelmed by all of the sheer design I wanted to capture. Opportunities for gesture are a lot more common than what I got at the fashion show, so I don't feel so bad about it!

OC Style Week once more

Stylized refinements of gesture drawings I could barely recognize when I got back. I haven't been feeling 100% the draftsman tonight, but doggone it, I wanted to do something.

More sketches from last week's meeting! Unfortunately, I couldn't stay for the entire fashion show so I missed out on the really cool stuff, but the experience was fun nonetheless. Also, sketching fashion models walking down the runway is like doing 5-15 sec gestures. Seriously.

OC Style Week

Here are my sketches from last week sketch group. :) It was a lot of fun, and a big challenge capturing the models as they walk down the runway. They walk pretty fast. :x
